Meet the Nomic Team — Franco Victorio, Hardhat Team Lead.

Welcome to the heart of Nomic Foundation — the People.

In this series of blog posts, we invite you to get to know our team members — the driving force behind Nomic. Every one of us has traveled our own journey that eventually led us here, united by a shared purpose: to help create a more decentralized world that empowers individuals with greater autonomy and choice.

Today, we’re introducing Franco Victorio, the Team Lead of Hardhat. He occasionally assists with other projects as well. In this post, he shares a bit about himself and his experience working at Nomic Foundation.

What is your name, and what do you do at Nomic?

Franco Victorio. I lead the development of Hardhat, help with our other projects however I can, and demand pictures of my teammates’ dogs.

Where are you located? Is that where you are from originally?

I live in Madrid, but I’m originally from a random town in Argentina.

What were you doing professionally before joining Nomic?

I was already working in the Ethereum ecosystem, and before that, I was doing your typical mercenary software development.

Why did you decide to join the team?

I always loved working on tooling and was already deep in Ethereum. When I saw the chance to do both things at the same time, it was a no-brainer.

What are the things that you enjoy and appreciate about working at Nomic?

Working at a non-profit means being 100% focused on the value we are creating, which is great. And the team is amazing: smart, kind, and fun people, even if they don’t share enough pictures of their pets.

Which one of our core values resonates with you the most and why? How do you see it being “used” at Nomic?

It’s hard to pick just one, but I would go with “Level Up.” There is a culture of continuous improvement at all levels combined with pragmatism that is really hard to get right.

What are you excited about when you think about your future at Nomic?

We have a lot of cool things in the pipeline that are going to have a huge impact on the ecosystem, and I can’t wait to see them out there.

What is your best tip for staying productive and happy when working remotely?

Get a dog. It forces you to take breaks and go outside. Then join our team and share pictures of the cutie.

Empowering developers to decentralize the world
