Meet the Nomic Team  — Sol Ara, Senior Technical Recruiter

We’re back with another spotlight on the incredible team behind the Nomic Foundation.

Today, let us introduce you to Sol, our Senior Technical Recruiter, who is passionate about bringing great people and great teams together.

What is your name, and what do you do at Nomic?

I’m Sol, part of the Talent team at Nomic. What I care about most is connecting with people who are genuinely curious, kind, and excited about the problems we’re solving, and helping them see how they could grow and thrive here.

Where are you located? Is that where you are from originally?

I’m based in Argentina and grew up in a suburb about 40 minutes outside Buenos Aires.

Who are you outside of work? What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I’m probably the same friendly and curious person, just more committed to moving my body and finding excuses to be outdoors.

I practice tennis, run almost every day, and I’m always looking for reasons to plan hiking trips somewhere in the world with my partner. I love that mix of challenge and exploration, my next goal is to complete the Tour du Mont Blanc in June. That said, no matter how far I go, I’m always happy to come home to my two cats, Corcho & Tinto :)

Why did you decide to join the team?

What drew me to Nomic was the collaborative environment and the kind of deep technical recruiting challenges that come with it. The problems the team is working on are very foundational to the Ethereum ecosystem, and helping build the team behind that is both exciting and meaningful to me.

What are the things that you enjoy and appreciate about working at Nomic?

Honestly, the people. There’s a level of depth, kindness, and thoughtfulness here that’s rare. Everyone is incredibly sharp, but also humble and collaborative. People care about doing great work, and they care about each other while doing it. That combination makes a huge difference!

Which one of our core values resonates with you the most and why? How do you see it being “used” at Nomic?

The core value that resonates with me most is being kind. It might sound simple, but I think it’s one of the hardest things to consistently live by. At Nomic, it means giving direct feedback with respect. It means supporting each other.

What are you excited about when you think about your future at Nomic?

I'm excited to keep evolving recruiting into something deeply strategic, helping shape the long-term direction of the organization through the people we choose to bring in. That feels impactful and long-lasting.

What is your best tip for staying productive and happy when working remotely?

Intentional structure. When you work from home, everything can blur together. For me, running most days acts as a reset and replaces the commute, creating a clear boundary between work and personal time. I also set defined working hours, keep a dedicated workspace, and try to stay proactive with communication. Remote work doesn’t manage itself; you have to design your day in a way that supports focus and balance.
